Radical Energy Efficiency through Integrative Design
Invitation: Join us on June 10th to hear Amory Lovins, an American physicist, environmental scientist, writer, and Cofounder and Chief Scientist of the Rocky Mountain Institute.
The seminar will be from 10:15 am – 11:30 am at Poseidon lecture hall. Chalmers teknikpark.

Last day to register is June 5th.
Amory Lovins is a global authority in the area of energy. He has worked in the field of energy policy and related areas for four decades.
His theories of energy efficiency and the competitiveness of renewable energy were controversial from the beginning, but it has been shown that he is right.
He was named by Time magazine one of the World’s 100 most influential people in 2009.
Abstract:
Designing buildings, vehicles, equipment, and factories as whole systems for multiple benefits—not as piles of isolated parts for single benefits—can make the energy efficiency resource severalfold larger, yet cheaper, and often with increasing returns. Such “integrative design” is long proven but seldom used, at least outside the building sector.
It’s rarely recognized, taught, expected, or rewarded, because it's a design method, not a technology. Yet diverse empirical examples reveal its astonishing potential to make climate protection faster, cheaper, easier, and even more profitable.
